What Information Do We Collect

Most of the information we collect is directly from you upon the completion of a Risk Agreement and/or Application form, contest entry, sign-up for special offers or from completing a survey. We also collect information about you from a variety of sources including from: references you have provided to us, or transactions you have made with or through us. When you request products or services, we will only ask you to provide the information that permits us to complete your request, to provide better service or to offer you products and services we believe you might be interested in.

How We Use Your Information

Your personal and financial information is used for the purposes communicated to you in your agreement(s) with us, for example to:

  • Verify your identity.
  • Provide you with products and services requested.
  • Communicate to you any benefit, feature and other information about products and services you have with us.
  • Respond to any special needs or enquiries you may have.
  • Better understand your fitness/wellness interests and determine your eligibility for products and services we offer.
  • Manage our risks and operations.
  • Meet regulatory and legal requirements.

Additional Uses

We may communicate with you through various channels including telephone, computer or mail using the contact information you have provided.
With your consent, we may use your information to promote our products and services and that of third parties we select, which we believe you will be interested in.

Other Information

Our goal is to continuously improve the services and products we offer to you. To do this, we occasionally collect non-personal aggregate information from surveys, public archives and websites to help us understand the interests of our members and to manage our risks.

  • to an agent retained by Kombat in relation with the collection of your account.
  • to protect the personal safety of employees, member or other third parties on Kombat property.

Our Employees

Access to your information is restricted to authorized employees who have a legitimate business purpose for accessing it. For example, when you call us, visit the club, or email us, designated employees may be required to access your information to verify that you are the member and to assist in fulfilling your requests.

Unauthorized access to and/or disclosure of member information by an employee is strictly prohibited. All employees are required to maintain the confidentiality of member information at all times and failing to do so will result in appropriate disciplinary measures, which may include dismissal.

Outside Service Suppliers

Kombat does not sell member information to others, but under certain circumstances we do contract with trusted companies to act on our behalf to execute certain functions. As an example we may use third party service providers to process or handle personal information on our behalf and to assist us with various services such as data processing, printing, research, mailings and marketing. Outside service providers are only supplied with the information necessary to perform the service they are retained for. They are required to protect the information in a manner that is consistent with our privacy policies and security practices. On occasion some of our service providers may be located outside of Canada. As a result, your personal information may be accessible to regulatory authorities in accordance with the law of these jurisdictions. Kombat takes steps to insure these service providers adhere to our privacy policy with respect to the protection of your personal information.
