The Confined Area Survival/Safety Tactics was a program conceived by Phil Messina of the world renowned Modern Warriors Defensive Tactics Institute (mwarrior.com) initially for use by transit police. However upon the tragic September 11th incident techniques and tactics were modified for any close quarter area. Participants can expect to learn empty hand close quarter fighting skills, how to defend against handguns and edged weapons and how to identify improvised weapons from your environment. Participants will also learn about survival mind setting and key concepts to improve any form of combat.
